Qualifications in Education
- Upper Primary Teacher: Applicants for the upper primary level must hold a B.Ed or DLED (BTC) degree. Students in their final year of these courses are also eligible to enroll for this exam.
- Candidates for the position of primary educator must hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). Students from the previous academic year are also eligible to apply.
Application Fee
For A Single UPTET Exam
- Applicants in the General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay 600 in application fees. The fee for SC and ST applicants is 400. A fee of 100 has been established for Divyang (PWD) candidates.
For the two Papers
- Applicants in the General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay 1200 in application fees. The application fee for both UPTET 2023 papers is 800 for SC and ST candidates and 200 for those with physical disabilities.

UPTET 2023 Could Occur Prior to the UP Elections

Why is the UPTET Examination Required?
The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test must be passed in order to register for the position of teacher. It is arranged for the recruitment of teachers for grades 1 through 8. The examination is open to candidates pursuing elementary teacher education or a Bachelor of Education degree.
