The CM introduced the Annapurna Scheme Goa on the third anniversary of the Swayampurna Goa Mission. The Goa Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana requires Self Help Groups (SHGs) to apply to the rural development department before opening a Food Canteen. SHGs must pay Rs. 20 per square meter in urban areas and Rs. 10 per sq. m. in rural regions if they want to start providing catering services.
