The Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) was introduced in 2017 as the Government of India’s flagship maternity benefits program. Previously known as the Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana, it is currently administered by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.
