The Aim Of Inspire Scholarship

Inspire Scholarship’s Criteria for Eligibility

To be eligible for SHE, candidates must have completed Class 12 and studied Natural Sciences at the B.Sc. or Integrated M.Sc. level. The eligibility conditions for this scholarship are outlined in full below.

  • The candidate must be between the ages of 17 and 22.
  • In terms of aggregate marks in his/her Class 12 board test, the candidate must be in the top 1% of all successful students.
  • The candidate must be enrolled in Natural and Basic Sciences courses at the BSc, BS, and Integrated MSc/MS levels in the same year that they passed Class 12.
  • Applicants must be among the top 10,000 in the Joint Entrance Examination of IIT, AIEEE (top 20,000), and have completed CBSE-Medical (AIPTM), and have chosen to pursue Natural/Basic Sciences.

Advantages And Characteristics Of Inspire Scholarship

  1. On 13 November 2008, the Department of Science and Technology introduced the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) scholarship at a total cost of 1979.25 crores.
  2. The government provides $80,000 in college scholarships to 10,000 students annually.

Scholarships Available Through the Inspire Scholarship Program

SEAT-scheme for early talent attraction

Talented students are drawn to study science through the Inspire Scholarship Scheme. To entice pupils, an Inspire Award of Rs 5000 would be given to 1 million young learners aged 10 to 15 years, from class 6 to class 10th. Aside from that, summer camps are organized on a yearly basis for 50,000 Science students in class 11 with world experts in science so that kids can experience the thrill of creativity.

Higher education scholarships, often known as SHE

This initiative has been created to boost participation in higher education in science-intensive disciplines. Every year, 10,000 students receive scholarships and mentorship through this initiative, which costs Rs 0.80 lakh per year. Students between the ages of 17 and 22 can take advantage of this program to pursue bachelor’s and master’s degrees in natural sciences. Every recipient receives mentorship support through this program.

Assurance of a research career or AORC

This program was created to retain and foster bright young scientific human resources in order to enhance the basis and base of research and development. This curriculum is separated into two parts. The first step is to encourage camaraderie. Every year, 1000 scholarships are awarded to individuals between the ages of 22 and 27 to pursue Ph.D. degrees in fundamental and applied disciplines such as engineering and medicine.

The second component is an inspired faculty program that provides guaranteed opportunities to 1,000 postdoctoral researchers between the ages of 27 and 32 in fundamental and applied science domains for five years through contractual and tenure-track jobs each year.
