Educational Requirements
For a teaching position, an assistant professor in anesthesia must possess a postgraduate degree, such as an MD in anesthesia from an Indian university or institution, as well as a degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) as being an equivalent.

Pay Scale
- Professor-Entry Level Pay Matrix 14A (Basic as per 7thCPC and all customary allowances, plus NPA for applicants holding a medical degree)
- Additional Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 13A2 (Basic I, 48,200-2, 11,400) according to the 7th CPC and all customary perks (Plus NPA for applicants with a medical degree)
- Associate Professor: Entry Level Pay Matrix 13A1 (Basic, 38,300-2,09,200) in accordance with the 7th CPC and all customary allowances (Plus NPA for applicants holding a medical degree)
- Assistant Professor-Entry Level Pay Matrix 12 (Basic as per 7thCPC and all customary allowances, plus NPA for applicants holding a medical degree)
Age Limit
For all other groups, there is a 2000 yen application fee. For aspirants in the SC/ST category, the application fee is 1000. Candidates who fall under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category are not required to pay an application fee.
